Wrapped in Cloths

Wrapped in Cloths

Last Sunday morning I was listening to my daily Bible reading.  It was from the 15th Chapter of Mark.  The following was read:

"And Joseph bought a linen shroud, and taking him down, wrapped him in the linen shroud and laid him in a tomb that had been cut out of the rock. And he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb" (Mark 15:46).

Tears started forming in my eyes.  The simple words were so powerful and reminded me immediately of another passage from Luke.

"And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn" (Luke 2:6-7).

Here is the Son of God - The Word made Flesh - that was wrapped in cloths and laid in a manger and
wrapped in cloths and laid in a tomb.  As we gathered later that morning as a congregation (Prince of Peace House of Prayer) around the communion table, I shared the verses again. Again tears formed.  As we ate of His body and drank of His blood, His presence swept over us.  We were powerfully reminded of His glory, healing, forgiveness and love.  He met us.  "The Word made Flesh" met us.

May the Lord in all of His presence and fullness of glory meet you this season. May He pour out His love over the State of Texas.

The Lord has blessed us!  It has been a marvelous year of co-laboring with each of you in the Kingdom of God.  I am praying that each of you will be filled with the fullness of the Lord this Holiday Season.  I d
ecree His blessings and prosperity over you in the New Year. Thank you for working together for the State of Texas and the surrounding region. I look forward to continuing our relationship in the coming year.

All the best to you and your family,
