End Sex Trafficking Day began after Erin and Fredrick Giles saw the award winning documentary Nefarious in 2012. Erin knew she had to do something to fight this atrocity. In April of 2012 we had a 29 day fundraising campaign where $10,000 was raised with this video so the End Sex Trafficking book could be edited, printed, bound and shipped.
On October 26th, 2012 the first End Sex Trafficking Day was marked by the release of our community-driven book — a collection of 60 essays on love, knowledge & freedom. All authors proceeds go to the Not For Sale Campaign.
EST Day 2013
Awareness and education of the public is key to ending what the US State Dept. is referring to as a pandemic of human trafficking. This year we have selected 4 anti human trafficking organizations and 4 talented and passionate artists to take us to the next level of education and awareness. Using the organizations mission statement as inspiration, EST Day artists are creating images to be sold late September through the end of October. All proceeds will benefit the organization. Make sure to check our blog and fb page for updates and introductions to our orgs and artists!
